Six tightly-wound songs sharing sonic similarities with Tokyo alternative and underground acts such as Panicsmile and Zazen Boys, as well as drawing on '90s US post-hardcore legends like Fugazi, Slint and Shellac (Shellac's Bob Weston worked on the album as mastering engineer).

illMilliliter(イルミリリッター)は2014年に結成され、BIGO(vocals)、JOHN(bass/ex.imamon)、OGNX(guitar/GROUNDCOVER、TACOBONDS)、NRTK(drums)の4人から成るバンド。
結成後すぐにも東京のオルタナティブシーンで頭角を現す。東京ボアダムやみんなの戦艦などのアンダーグラウンドフェスにも出演を果たし、自ら確立するバンドとなった。

デビューミニアルバム「NEW STANDARD」は、FugaziやSlintのようなはりつめた実験的なハードコアサウンドでありながらも、This Heatのようなミニマリストノイズロックをあわせもつサウンドとなっている。さらに言えば、パンクのアグレッシブさとマスロックの完全性の狭間にいるようで、PanicsmileやThe Act We Actのような日本のアンダーグラウンドアクトとも比較して聴いてみたくなるような楽曲だ。この6曲に収められているのはインテリジェンスとエナジーだ。illMilliliterを聴けば、数々の日本の新しいバンドの中で類稀な存在であることが分かるだろう。

「NEW STANDARD」のレコーディングとミックスを手掛けたのは久恒亮(Studio Zot)。マスタリングはShellac、Mission of Burmaのメンバーとしても知られるBob Weston(Chicago Mastering Service)
